Después de un largo tiempo sin actividad y sin noticias hoy estamos de vuelta para continuar con nuestros proyectos y trabajo, y para retomar las cosas de la mejor manera en este nuevo año, traemos avances sobre Common Utilities para XOOPS.

Originalmente Common Utilities fue una collección de clases y funciones utilizadas para mejorar el desarrollo de módulos de Red México; probablmente algunos de ustedes lo recuerden en sus primeras versiones, allá por XOOPS 2.0.10.

Ahora, hemos transformado a Common Utilities en un módulo, que además de contener la colección de clases y funciones que facilitan el desarrollo de módulos, permite reemplazr y mejorar algunas funciones de XOOPS, además de llevar nuevas potencialidades en el diseño de temas, tanto para el GUI como para el diseño del sitio.

After a long time without activity and no news today we are back to continue with our projects and work and to restart things in the best way in this year, bring progress on Common Utilities for XOOPS.

Originally Common Utilities was a collection of classes and functions to enhance the development of modules of Red México, some of you probably remember in their first versions, there by XOOPS 2.0.10.

Now, we have transformed Common Utilities in a module, in addition to having the classes’ collection and functions that facilitate the development of modules, can replace and improve some XOOPS functions, besides bringing new potential in the design of themes, for both the GUI and for the design of the site.

Además, para desarrolladores y diseñadores, Common Utilities ofrecerá capacidades muy potentes para crear diseños innovadores y poderosos, a al altura de los mejores sistemas, programación de módulo mas sencilla y mejor estructurada, y capacidades para crear plugins para, vitualmente, todos los módulos desarrollados con Common Utilities.

Common Utilities incluye tres nuevos editores de texto: Tiny, EXM Editor y HTML Editor. Los tres nuevos editores se integran perfectamente con Common Utilities y ofrecen nuevas posibilidades para la edición de texto y la inclusión de nuevas funcionalidades por parte de módulos o componentes instalados.

Por el momento tenemos listo el administrador de imágenes, el manejo de temas para el panel de control XOOPS y el tema por defecto para Common Utilites, sin embargo los planes son mejorar la administración de módulos, de bloques, etc.

Quienes esten interesados en revisar los avances pueden visitar el sitio de desarrollo del proyecto y obtener una copia de los archivos directamente del repositorio.

Para ver todo el funcionamiento del módulo es necesario instalar el tema "redmexico" del panel de control XOOPS ya que este activa toda la funcionalidad visual de Common Utilities.

In addition, for developers and designers, Common Utilities offer powerful capabilities to create innovative and powerful designs, to the level of the best systems, module programming simpler and better structured, and capabilities to create plugins for virtually all modules developed with Common Utilities.

Common utilities include three new text editors: Tiny, EXM Editor and HTML Editor. The three new editors are fully integrated with Common Utilities and provide new possibilities for editing text and adding new features by modules or installed components.
