In recent days we have received questions about how to translate our modules into other languages, so we decided to create this quick guide to make it very fast. Remember that if you want a little more information you can find a deeper explanation in the documentation of Common Utilities.

Well, first of all goes without saying that Mexico Network modules do not base their translation into the standard system of XOOPS, but use the method provided by Common Utilities. This means that the translation is stored in one file and is therefore very easy to make the translation into any language.

Where is the file?

All the modules created by Red Mexico contains a folder named "lang". It is in this folder will be stored translation files.

Once again, we are pleased to announce the immediate availability of another module created by Red Mexico: RapidDocs. This module, currently in version 1.0.36 beta, is ideal for publishing a wide variety of written resources online, from books to manuals neatly organized and categorized.

The module automatically generates tables of contents and allows the inclusion of figures and footnotes, with the necessary tools to do so. In addition, all information generated is quickly integrated and easy way for printing or other uses.

XThemes has been released and is available for download! XThemes is a theme manager and a set of tools for creating new topics. With this module you can create interactive themes and better integrated with XOOPS and with other modules.

Themes based on XThemes can be installed and configured as another component of XOOPS, with an own control panel and the ability to access to all the features of the themes from the template HTML / Smarty.

In addition, XThemes allows include plugins in the themes to increase functionality, allowing intercept events XOOPS themes and other modules to better manage information and provide a format based on the designer preferences.

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of ContactMe! a simple module for creating a contact form on XOOPS.

This module's main advantage is simplicity, allowing you to have a contact form in just minutes. In addition, is based on Common Utilities and has a small control panel to manage and respond to messages directly from the module.

A small number of configuration options give ContactMe! fully functional and not have to spend more time on their implementation. Contactme! is comparable to the old "contact" of XOOPS, but this module has been written from scratch to meet current standards.

Now available for download the new revision of correcting small errors QuickPages detected. The changes are not significant but include some improvements in language and, of course, the complete translation into English and Spanish.

For those not familiar with the module still, QuickPages helps you create individual pages on XOOPS, so that makes it easy to create semi-static information such as history of your page, terms of service, etc.

Professional Works Version 2.0.46 is now available. This version marks the change from beta to stable.

The module includes English and Spanish and the files needed to be translated into other languages using PoEdit.

Professional Works is a module that lets you publish personal and professional portfolio of your work or projects in your company. It offers a wide range of options that control all aspects of published projects.

It also has the ability to add any type of data elements generated within the module so that you can use these data in themes, templates, or even other modules.

We have released the version 2.0.92 of MyWords . This is a minor revision that fixes identified bugs and adds some features to the functionality.

Also have made changes in the language and the translation to the Spanish has been updated. Include the file .po for editing with PoEdit and create custom languages.

It is recommended for all users of previous versions (greater than version 2) download and install this update to prevent future incompatibilities with Common Utilities.

Recientemente hemos liberado algunos módulos desarrollados por Red México, entre los que destacamos Common Utilities, MyWords y Professional Works. En estas nuevas versiones hemos realizado cambios y mejoras en la funcionalidad de cada uno, sin tocar o retocar la apariencia gráfica de ninguno de ellos.

Debido a esto hemos recibido algunas preguntas por parte de algunos usuarios sobre cuando vamos a crear mejores plantillas, o plantillas mas visuales para los módulos.

La respuesta es muy simple: Creemos, sinceramente, que las plantillas que proporcionamos por defecto con los módulos son las mas adecuadas. ¿Por qué?

Bueno, algo que desde el principio hemos tenido claro al crear nuestros módulos es que no queremos que estos hagan "todo", sino que deseamos ofrecer una excelente herramienta con la capacidad de poder ser adaptada a las necesidades del usuario, y en este caso entendemos como usuario a los diseñadores, desarrolladores y/o webmasters.
